The ECR Workshop hosted by MQ and DATAMIND in partnership with MHP is part of their ongoing series supporting early career researchers in mental health. This year, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust are partners. Join us for a day of connection, learning, and practical insights to help you take the next step in your career.

What to expect on the day

Workshops run sequentially, so delegates can attend all three topic areas. Each workshop includes a short facilitator feedback slot to capture key reflections and implications for research design.

You'll also have the chance to meet other early career researchers over the course of the day for informal discussions. Tea/coffee, refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Workshop 1: Mental Health EPR Data for Research

Why Electronic Patient Record (EPR) mental health data is different - The structure of mental health data

Workshop 2: How Mental Health EPR Data Becomes Research-Ready/Standardisation

Electronic Patient Record (EPR) data standardisation is the process of aligning digital health formats, medical terminologies, and communication protocols.

Workshop 3: Federated Data for Research

Federated data is when information is pulled from multiple, separate sources and presented as a single virtual view. The NHS uses a secure software system with federated data.

This workshop will show practical federation tools for researchers.
