The MHP Pitch & Polish provides a supportive, low-pressure environment where researchers can present their projects, receive constructive feedback from industry Alliance members, and potentially set up new collaborations.
Simply create a short video describing your research and let the MHP Coordinating Team share it with relevant members of the Industry Alliance.

Submit your video

The content of your video should include:
- Project overview and context
- Relevant Industry themes
- Problem statement or unmet need
- Proposed approach or methodology
- Key findings (if available) or expected outcomes
- Potential applications or industry relevance
The safest and securest way to share your Pitch & Polish video is through the Mental Health Platform Teams channel. As a member of the MHP you should already have access.
You should follow the link above to open the folder, then upload your video. Please title it "Your name + Pitch & Polish submission."
When you've successfully uploaded your video, please send an email to mhp@ed.ac.uk with the subject "Your name + Pitch & Polish submission.", letting us know you've submitted. Please also include any key Industry areas you'd like to connect with.
First, the Co-ordinating Team will review the video and your email, and identify which Industry partners may be the best fit for your project.
Then, the video will be shared with multiple individuals from the Industry Alliance who best match your research. They'll be asked to provide feedback which the Coordinating Team can share with you.
Industry Alliance members are encouraged to initiate contact with researchers who have projects they'd like to hear more about and even help to develop.

Submitting a Pitch & Polish video is a simple and undemanding way to get your research pitch shared with multiple Industry Alliance members, generate feedback and gauge interest in forming future collaborations.
